When may composite be suitable?
Spaces, small edge fractures, wear and limited differences in colour or shape can sometimes be managed with composite. The bite, gum health, clenching or grinding habits and remaining tooth structure all influence suitability.
How is a natural result planned?
Shade, translucency, surface texture and tooth proportions are assessed individually. In anterior teeth, harmony with neighbouring teeth, the lip line and facial features is considered.
In suitable cases, treatment can be completed directly in the mouth with a conservative approach. Maintenance needs vary with the bite, habits and regular reviews.
Composite or ceramic?
No single material is right for every patient or tooth. Composite, porcelain and zirconia options are compared according to tissue loss, aesthetic expectations and functional or mechanical requirements.
